[edit] Disputed closing time

Baseball-reference shows the distinct 1891 club playing its home games in "Athletic Park". Retrosheet shows that club playing its home games here. If so, the "last major league game date" should be revised to and the first paragraph should continue, essentially, "and home to the distinct 1891 Athletics."

Philadelphia was not represented in the major leagues 1877-1881. The new Athletics played in Oakdale Park during 1882. I suspect that another pro/semipro club, at least, used Jefferson Street Grounds between '76 and '83. Over to you folks in Philadelphia! --P64 20:41, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
