Hi. Unfortunately, the quote which was in the article referring to Jeff's final league match has had to be removed. I now own a copy of his book, and it states that no part of the publication may be reproduced without permission. Wikipedia does not flout copyright. Linking to Giles Smith's article is the only legal way of showing the quote. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 00:51, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Short quotes from books are fair use - Wikipedia:Copyright_FAQ#What_is_fair_use.3F. I've put the short quote back. I mean, it's used in the Times article linked at the end of the wiki piece, so their lawyers must think it's OK! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.56.65.168 (talk) 17:03, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Freemason

Hi. Some editors seem to think the information regarding Jeff's membership of the above organisation should be removed. Notwithstanding it being valid encyclopedic content, it also borders on censorship for whatever reason, and Wikipedia does not censor. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 11:14, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

The above fact is currently disputed by User:ComeOnBoro as incorrect. I have had personal contact with the editor over this, and have advised him to post here, in order to comply with consensus. His removals of the above fact are being reverted each time until he puts his point of view, and reveals his sources to support removal openly, on this talk page. Thanks. I have brought up the issue at the BLP noticeboard, to bring the matter to the attention of editors with more experience in matters such as this. slυмgυм [ ←→ ] 17:30, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
