What exactly is meant by "Anglo-Saxon countries"? Considering the Anglo-Saxons were based in England, would it not be easier to write just "England"? - 11:41, 23 January 2006 (UTC) The Great Gavini I have some contrasting views about SF...

I think it was meant to imply 'Britain, America, Canada and Australia'. Certainly not just England. Incidentally, anyone want to put this back in, in a NPOV kind of way? That makes sense? Mac Maclean is a Canadian Flight Lieutenant, Hawke's rank is Wing Commander, for most of the series.

The Dream Pedlars, Strip H 1363, ..."I'm Flight Lieutenant Maclean..."

Rip van Haddow, Strips H2900-2902, Mac stayed for a year as a kid in Shallow Springs in the Rockies.

Comic Media Vol 2, No. 4 December 1973, an English fanzine, published a long interview with Sydney Jordan and on page 13 Sydney Jordan said "...Maclean is Jeff Hawke's sidekick. He's really a foil to Hawke. He's a Canadian ... he's a man of steel and utterly reliable."
