Producing and composing two of the most important and record setting documentaries of modern times seems significant.
Look up: Conflict of Interest and NPOV

- THere are a few issues here. First, its not a good idea to create an article on yourself. You may be notable but you are not neutral (see Conflict of Interest as noted above). Also there is no mention of you on the articles on either of the movies and both of those articles are rather substantial. Its arguable that those pages should just be edited directly since there really isn't much more information to add on this page besides listing you on the credit pages of the movies themselves. There were no sources in your article, which is another red flag, this is an encyclopedia, not a database of all crew members of movies. Other articles to see Neutral Point of View, Cite your sources, Biographies of living persons, etc, etc.
- I don't know much about you, but mostly because there was nothing really to learn from the article. TO determin if a composer is notable the general guidelines (from Wikipedia:Notability (music)) are:
- Has credit for writing or co-writing either lyrics or music for a musician or ensemble that qualifies above, a notable theatre, or has been taken up by a musician or ensemble that qualifies above.
- Has written musical theatre of some sort (includes musicals, operas, etc) that was performed in a notable theatre that had a reasonable run as such things are judged in their particular situation and time.
- Has had a work used as the basis for a later composition by a songwriter, composer or lyricist who meets the above criteria.
- Has written a song or composition which has won (or in some cases been given a second or other place) in a major music competition not established expressly for newcomers.
- Has been listed as a major influence or teacher of a composer, songwriter or lyricist that meets the above criteria.
- Appears at reasonable length in standard reference books on his or her genre of music.
- I didn't see any of those in your article, so best option is either to merge or revise. pw 02:53, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
Have you checked out the IMDB link? Rklawton 02:56, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes I saw the IMDB link but that doesn't mean he is notable, there are thousands and thousands of people on IMDB, do you think they should all get their own page on Wikipedia? Its the same issue as the google test, see Google test. pw 03:00, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'd say co-producing a Palme d'Or winning movie is notable. You don't? Rklawton 03:04, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- There are like 18 producer on fahrenheit 9/11 and 15 on bowling for columbine, you think all of those people deserve their own articles in wikipedia? How many "producers" do you think there are total on IMDB? Of award winning films? How do we know Mike Moore wasn't just short $2k one day and this guy happened to be around to give him some cash as long as he got his name on it? There is no additional context or reason for this article besides these two little pieces of data that could just as easily exist in the movie articles thesmevles.
- Even if he is notable, this argument is framed by the article itself, either the article needs to be improved to reinforce this notability you say is present, or it should be dealt with appropriately. pw 03:16, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- Good points. I didn't see much else on this guy in Google, so I'd support a merge. Rklawton 03:33, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
