[edit] Is the Cowher Story true?

I find this story to be quite interesting, seeing how neither Fisher nor Cowher have statistics for the 1985 season. Cowher was a coach in Cleveland in 1985. In any event, presuming Cowher was playing for the Eagles, I also would note that the Eagles did not play the Bears in 1985, or 1984 for that matter. If this leg-breaking tale is true, somebody should speak up with the facts. If it's true, my guess would be a preseason game, but the Eagles and Bears did not play in the 1985 preseason either. Hmmm.

Found a source, but this just doesn't seem right. This section was probably copied word for word from the site I found, I just hope it is not that infamous wikipedia source circle. IMHO, this whole section needs to be reworked and a better source found, or it needs to be deleted.24.158.102.32 18:34, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
OK, according to databaseFootball.com Cowher was not even playing in 1985.[1] I am deleting the section, it can always be reverted and reworked later. It just smells of plagiarism and inconsistency.24.158.102.32 18:54, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Agreed...this keeps making it back in to both Bill Cowher and Jeff Fisher's pages. The two teams did not play one another either year: Pro Football-Reference page for 1984 Eagles and Pro Football-Reference page for 1985 EaglesKevin28 (talk) 07:13, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

they just said on the cbs broadcast that fisher broke his leg in a collision with bill cowher.
