[edit] Early coaching career (1994-2000)
Jefferson Roblee served as the assistant boys and girls soccer coach at Liberty High School (Liberty, Missouri) from 1994-1997. [2] He co-founded Kansas City Pace soccer with his twin brother Lincoln Roblee in 1995. In the late 90s, the 80/81 KC Pace and 87/88 KC Pace, KC Pace's only teams, were among the very few Kansas City, Missouri based club teams to compete in the Missouri state cup competition. Roblee, a former player in Missouri's ODP system, also encouraged Pace players to participate in the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program. In 2000 Roblee coached KC United boys team to the Kansas Youth Soccer Association U19 boys state cup championship. [3]
[edit] Coaching Olympic Development Program and PDL (2001-)
In 2001 Jefferson Roblee coached the KC United team to the U20 men's Kansas Amateur Soccer Association state championship. Also in 2001, Roblee was named as coach of the Missouri 87 ODP boys state team. He coached the 87 ODP team through the group's ODP cycle that ended in 2004. Roblee, as an account executive with the Kansas City Wizards in 2001, developed the Wizards Youth Training Program (WYTP). The Wizards Youth Training Program brought together many of Kansas City's elite youth players for training with the Wizards staff, players and local college coaches. Future Kansas City Wizards player Will John participated in the WYTP during his high school years. On April 15, 2002 Roblee was hired as the head coach of the Kansas City Brass of the USL Premier Development League.[4]
[edit] Historic Championship (2005)
Since 1935, the first year of the annual event that is now known as the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series, no team from outside of St. Louis had won a Missouri club state championship in an age group that advanced to the regional championships (U13-U19). Seventy years later, 2005, the 87/88 Kansas City Pace (coached by Jefferson Roblee, Lincoln Roblee and Burke Slusher) defeated Lou Fusz SC-Popovic of St. Louis 3-1 in the U17 boys Missouri State Cup championship match.[5] The Kansas City Pace repeated as Missouri State Cup champions in 2006 with a 3-1 victory over Scott Gallagher SC of St. Louis in the U18 boys state championship match.[6]
[edit] Coaching College Soccer (2006-)
In January of 2006 Jefferson Roblee was hired as the associate head coach of the men's and women's soccer teams at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. In 2006 the WJC women's team finished 14-4-2 and the men's team finished 18-3-2. The 2006 WJC men's team (coached by Chris Cissell, Jefferson Roblee and Rob Thomson) finished as champions of the Heart of America Athletic Conference and became the first men's team to complete the conference season without a loss or tie (9-0-0). In addition, the 2006 men's team won the Region V championship and advanced to the NAIA National Championship Final Four in Daytona Beach, Florida.
[edit] U.S. Open Cup Qualification (2007)
In 2007 Jefferson Roblee guided the Kansas City Brass to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The Brass qualified for the Open Cup by placing first within the PDL Heartland Division during Open Cup qualification. The Brass' first four PDL league games doubled as U.S. Open Cup qualifiers. In the four games the Brass defeated the Des Moines Menace 3-1, defeated the Sioux Falls Spitfire 2-1, defeated the Springfield Demize 1-0 and defeated the St. Louis Lions 3-1.[7]
