Jeff Peckman

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jeff Peckman is an American ufologist that gained media attention in 2008 [1] and showed in Denver, Colorado a video of a purportedly living, breathing space alien. [2][3]

He screened the video for reporters May 30, 2008 at Metropolitan State College in Denver, although they were not allowed to photograph the images. The three minute video showed what appeared to be a "white creature with a balloon-shaped head" and large dark eyes that appeared to blink, looking in through a window 8 feet above the ground.

The video was said to have been made by Stan Romanek, July 17, 2003, in Nebraska. A documentary including the footage is to be released later in 2008. [4] Peckman is trying to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission to prepare for visits from extraterrestrials.[5][6][7] Peckman seeks 4000 signatures to get his proposal for the 18 member commission on the November ballot.[8]

Soon after Peckman announcement a video appeared on YouTube claiming to be the Romanek/Peckman footage. This video is significantly different from a screenshot video leaked by press and showed on Larry King Live [9]. A second video more identical to the screenshot appeared a day after. [10] However, until 3 June 2008 there is no official confirmation by both Peckman and Romaneck about the videos leaked.

[edit] Peckman life

Peckman created and sells a technology that purportedly "reduces electromagnetic fields". [11]

In 2003, Peckman got an initiative on the ballot in Denver which said "Shall the voters for the city and county of Denver adopt an initiative ordinance to require the city to help ensure public safety by increasing peacefulness?" [12][13] The initiative failed to gain enough votes to pass.[14]

Peckman once attended Maharishi University of Management in Iowa and was 54 years of age as of 2008.[15] In 1998 he ran for the United States Senate as a member of the Natural Law Party [13] receiving 0.31% of the votes, and coming in fifth in a field of seven.[16]
