Jeff Manning, is the author of The Dream Builder, a best selling work about the passion, pain and memoirs of building dreams in Las Vegas. Proceeds from The Dream Builder benefit Keep Memory Alive, supporting the mission of the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, a Las Vegas based nonprofit organization dedicated to the fight against Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, ALS, and Memory Disorders;and other charities. Jeff Manning was born in the Village of Warwick, New York in 1971. He was relocated to the state of Washington at the age of four and began writing at the age of seven. He grew up on a farm near Skagit Valley, Washington, where, he became an avid outdoorsman and studied the work of James Audubon. His father traveled extensively building projects throughout the west coast and first came to Las Vegas in the late 60’s. In his youth he was a commercial actor and print model, Jeff was in publications such as Elle Magazine, Warner Brothers Television productions, and many national ad campaigns. After graduating high school as Valedictorian, Jeff started his career working as a welder helper in the United Assn of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union working on large scale gas and oil pipelines, and he achieved journeyman status and became a "rig welder". He continued into college and completed two degrees as a top 5% graduate at the University of Washington studying both business administration and construction management/engineering with elective coursework in English; and also launched Manco Industries, a successful government supply company selling work gloves, safety equipment, and handtools to local and state goverment agencies throughout the United States. Jeff officially began his career as a project engineer in Seattle at the age of 24, built his first custom home at the age of 25; but soon, through the advice of his father, moved to Las Vegas to rejoin his family. He immediately began building hotels and medical projects including hospitals in Las Vegas for a top ENR general contractor. Jeff has led an all-star career in Construction & Real Estate with a never ending thirst to provide quality building services that spans two decades with award winning projects and buildings in his resume that have helped change the Las Vegas skyline. He is often interviewed and quoted in industry publications for his expertise in construction including Western Real Estate Magazine, Nevada Business Journal, RJ, Sun, In Business, and a variety of other industry trade publications. His background includes working for the most esteemed construction companies and real estate developers on the West Coast including the local Las Vegas based start-up, The Penta Building Group. At the age of 30 while serving at Penta, Jeff was charged with both business development and project management duties. Penta quickly grew to become one of the top contractors in Nevada and was named 2005 AGC Contractor of the Year, growing in revenues from $7mm at their start to over $400MM. Jeff moved on and became a key executive with The Molasky Group of Companies where he completed over 500,000 square feet of ground up development projects for legendary real estate developer & Icon - Irwin Molasky. Molasky's Las Vegas history and accomplishments included high profile developments and hollywood film & television production; and it was a perfect match for Jeff Manning to become fully inspired; and an opportunity of a lifetime that he is quoted as "being forever greatful for".

Jeff moved on from the Molasky Group of Companies, and Jeff decided to pursue his dream further and helped found The Action Building Group in 2006. He is the company's principal serving new business development and preconstruction services where they focus on ground up and interior remodels for gaming, nightclubs, high end retail, restaurants, medical, office, aviation, and industrial building projects. Action Building Group is the only Las Vegas based contractor allowing clients to grade their performance on a monthly basis. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties where he focuses on Sustainable (Green) Building practices, and he is an equity partner in two other local real estate development related businesses. Being very charasmatic, he is known through-out many different social and community circles in Las Vegas. Jeff currently has two other books forthcoming one of which is focused on a whole life approach to excellence and client services entitled, Total Package Performance.
