Jefferson County, New York is the home of the U.S. 10th Mountain Division based at Fort Drum, New York as well as a portion of the Thousand Islands region. The county seat is Watertown and Jefferson Community College is part of the SUNY group. Watertown is also the home of broadcasters WWNY, WPBS-TV and WWTI.
