Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

It's considered a GOOD THING to move articles only with the move-function, not by the cut-and-paste method, sinde that preserves the edit history of the article in question.

regards!

[edit] Swedish Confederation of Trade Unions

In a rather confusing move, and without prior discussion on the article's talk page, you seem to have moved Swedish Trade Union Confederation to Swedish Confederation of Trade Unions. Your intentions might have been good, but they are rather unclear for me. See my comment on the article's talk page. / Alarm 16:43, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

First, I'd like to emphasize that I'm rather happy that someone cares for the subject, and I hope to see you contributing to the article's content. But I don't consider your reasons for moving it particularly convincing. Could you please take a look at my response to your latest post at the article's talk page, and indicate if you stand by your position or if you can agree with it being moved back. I'm eager to achieve an explicit consensus, to avoid starting a "move war". / Alarm 11:40, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)--- dont believe this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.83.47.114 (talk • contribs)
I don't know what prompted this anon user to add this comment here, more than four months after this issue was resolved. If this refers to anything I've done, I would welcome comments directed to my talk page. (Sorry to clutter your talk page with this, Jebur!) / Alarm 19:43, 6 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Requested Moves

Hello, you forgot to add the discussion to the talk page for King of Sweden. In oder to discuss requested moves you need to establish a section on the talk page to discuss movement. Similarly, you need to link to it from the Requested Moves page.

Talk:King of Sweden:King of SwedenSwedish monarchy—Place reason here.~~~~

(leave out the nowiki tag)

The above appears on the Requested Moves page and the Talk page. You also need to add {{move|Swedish monarch}} to the talk page.

I've done this for you.

Cheers, 132.205.15.43 19:42, 7 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Social Democratic Workers' Party of Sweden

I noticed that you took Social Democratic Workers' Party of Sweden to Requested moves and I am glad that we now seem to share the same view on the naming of Swedish organizations. I've long been meaning to raise this issue myself, but I really couldn't mustre the energy to start the discussion, so I'm glad you did it.

By the way, there is a similar discussion at Talk:Liberal Party (Denmark) which may be of interest to you. / Alarm 14:18, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Euronationalist parties

Hi Jebur, I thought it was better to keep the 2 categories along in Vlaams Belang but now i'm not so sure. At first "euronationalism" just looked to me like a weasel term (see Talk:euronationalism) and that's why I insisted not to keep it alone. I'm just afraid of people wanting to push a pro-euronationalist agenda here, not knowing whether I should count you about them or not. (Clearly, I'm personnally quite opposed to the euronationalist POV.) --FvdP 17:17, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Well, I don't consider myself a nationalist and I'm not trying to push an agenda. But still, calling the parties "populists" who refer to themselves as nationalists clearly isn't NPOV at all. Populism is a very negatively loaded word, and also, who's to decide who's populist and who's not? Personally I would agree that they're populists, but it's still highly subjective.
Regarding the term "euronationalism", I don't know much about how common and accepted it is. Perhaps a better categorization would be simply "European nationalist parties"? /Jebur 18:50, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Czech National Social Party

I'd removed category you added here. This poor party had enough of troubles to remind people they are not Nazis and they weren't nationalistic (in typical sense) either. Their name is result of an attempt to distinguish themselves from international social-democratic party. Pavel Vozenilek 00:51, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

The article says it's a "nationalist party" though... /Jebur 01:58, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Swedish Wikipedians' notice board

I'm trying to breathe some life into the Swedish Wikipedians' notice board. My hope is that contributors active on Swedish topics can use this page to keep track of ongoing debates and votes relating to Swedish articles, and as a place to list "weak spots" in order to attract the attention of someone knowledgeable in a specific area. I also plan to expand the list of useful web resources. Would you consider signing up? / Alarm 29 June 2005 14:01 (UTC)

Of course, thanks for the notice. /Jebur 29 June 2005 14:48 (UTC)

[edit] Tony Blair

I replaced image to orignal because Blair is younger is orignal picture and it looks alot better and more professional. The image has been used for numerous Wikipedia pages for years so it has been deemed fair use for awhile now. If you want to change image, please dispute image in talk page. Thank you Cmc0 1 July 2005 22:01 (UTC)

It doesn't matter how long it has been used at Wikipedia, or if you think that it looks "more professional". Fair use images should always be avoided, especially when there is a more recent and free-to-use image available. From Wikipedia: Fair use:
"Always use a more free alternative if one is available. Such images can often be used more readily outside the U.S. If you see a fair use image and know of an alternative more free equivalent, please replace it, so the Wikipedia can become as free as possible. Eventually we may have a way to identify images as more restricted than GFDL on the article pages, to make the desire for a more free image more obvious."

[edit] Vasa mess

I don't agree with your edits on Vasas, especially Polish ones. The template is of some use, however, you should not remove useful information. You should not use arabic numberals (1,2,3) in royality names. Why did you moved Charles Fedinand Vasa to Charles FerdinandC? Please use articles's talk page to reach consensus before making substantial edits like that. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 6 July 2005 14:54 (UTC)

Well, the standard at Wikipedia is to not use infoboxes in articles related to monarchs. See for example all the monarchs listed at List of British monarchs, List of Spanish monarchs, and List of French monarchs. Not that it matters much to me, but I can't see why the standard should be different when it comes to Polish monarchs.
And please point me to where I used arabic numerals in royality names? Also regarding the move of Charles Ferdinand, it's in complete accordance with Wikipedia:Naming conventions (names and titles), perhaps take a look at that. /Jebur 6 July 2005 15:17 (UTC)

[edit] The "Fucking Amal" poster on the "Fucking Amal" page

Where did the poster come from? Some people on the talk page thinks it originated from an English-speaking country. WhisperToMe 01:15, 26 July 2005 (UTC)

I found it via a link on IMDb, http://www.dkmedia.com/molodist/1999/images/fucking.htm /Jebur 14:27, 26 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Jasper (name) move

Hi - I just reversed your move of Jasper as it was not discussed and you left a bunch of dangling links. I didn't see any links to Jasper as a given name - so moved to Jasper (name) and linked as such from the disambiguation page. When you make moves in the future please discuss and clean-up after the move. Vsmith 19:57, 7 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Titlepictures

Thanks to your request I have made Swedish versions of the WWI & WW2 titlepictures:

I have inserted them into the Swedish WWI & WWII articles, but it seems they don't want it on the WWI page - they have removed it. Anyway, I am very thankful you liked the images (jag är svensk, by the way)! It is always nice to feel appreciation.

My regards, Dennis Nilsson. Dna-Dennis 14:41, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

Thank you very much! /Jebur 15:28, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kinggus.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Kinggus.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Oden 05:06, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Kinggus.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kinggus.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Oden 05:06, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Kinggus.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Kinggus.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Oden 08:45, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Untagged image

An image you uploaded, Image:Bernadotte coa.png, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 15:13, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Expressen.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Expressen.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Expressen.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Expressen.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:39, 17 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 20:39, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
