Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Notability
I believe FADVOCAT is one notable law firm. What if it does not have loads of references on google? Its one of the few law firms in South Asia to have established a brand name and slogan in the field of legal practice. Apart from that It's being run by some of the best lawyers in Pakistan. It's drafted contracts and agreements for companies based in United States. If you delete it I would not try posting information about this prestigious law firm on Wikipedia again. Thanks.
- "Notable" is not the same as "good." A notable law firm is one that has been written about significantly in reliable sources, a law firm that has significantly affected the laws of its country, or the history or culture of its country, or made other contributions that would make it important for an international encyclopedia to have an article about it. As you point out, Google isn't the only way to identify sources, but if you're aware of reliable sources confirming the information in the article- books, newspaper, or magazines that have written about how important this law firm is- then it would be helpful if you would add those to the article. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:05, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] IMPORTANCE
[edit] References
I have cited some references from national newspapers about FADVOCAT and its founder. Wonder if I can scan the news excerpts and post them onto wikipedia so that they can be used as references. As for information about the Partner Lawyers at FADVOCAT, local Bar Councils can always be contacted just in case. Thanks. Muaz00 (talk) 22:32, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Trend Setter & Leader
As it's mentioned above, FADVOCAT has just changed the way Law firms have been being named for ages. It's the first Law firm in South Asia to have discarded lengthy-traditional-multi-surname-name by establishing a successful one word Brand name using it as its Trade Mark. Therefore, FADVOCAT has brought the trend of rebranding in the Law firm market place. FADVOCAT has changed the conservative image of a Law firm and created a brand that's modern, smart, more memorable and relevant. Its the only Law firm in the country whose core speciality is Cyber law with Cyber law just being introduced in Pakistan and the name FADVOCAT is now associated with this speciality. The firm has a brand name and a clear identity which is termed as, innovative, savvy, bold and of course short, which law firms were not before! It's being run by renowned ex-Judges and Lawyers who have a political influence on the society too. The Lawyers @ FADVOCAT have been leading the struggle for the Restoration of Judiciary in Pakistan. [edit] Evidence
Do you guys work for this 'company'? I couldn't find any evidence for its existence when doing a search -- barring http://www.fadvocat.com/. Pahari Sahib, 05:09, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] A Leader Born
Pahari Sahib, the firm is newly set up and it has introduced a new concept of branding a law firm. FADVOCAT takes care of the legal matters of the Company I work for which is a leading provider of internet based Healthcare Information Management System in the US. Other reasons why you could not find too many references on google is that it's based in Pakistan and unfortunately Urdu newspapers dont have web presence at all and if they do that's very limited. But you will soon find lots of information about the firm as its client base is expanding and its focusing on its cyber law practice in Pakistan apart from providing off shore legal consultation facilities to the firms based in the US. Besides advertising for a law firm is considered a bad practice in Pakistan, unlike rest of the World. The Lawyers at FADVOCAT are very well known and if you are from Pakistan you might want to pay a visit to their offices. Ciao!

[edit] Wave of Fresh Air
Thanks for explaining that Miss Queen. I really do appreciate that. And it's all due to the reasons you gave and the contributions mentioned above I believe FADVOCAT has all it takes to have a wikipedia presence. It's indeed a new firm but it's set a new trend as well. It's providing off shore legal support to some companies right from the date of its formation which is again a new concept in Pakistan. It's a wave of fresh air in the legal environment of the country and hopefully it will become a global leader too. Cyber laws are a new thing in Pakistan and that's FADVOCAT's core speciality. I hope more people will contribute more information they have about the firm and the Deletion Tag will soon be removed. Thanks. 117.20.20.35 (talk) 06:06, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
