I'm sorry but I thought I deleated half of you talk page.Melbrooksfan101 talk 03:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Lena Horn image is back...
Got the original coding by backtracking to the last edit where I'd seen this WWII image. Were you trying to substitute something else or doing clean-up? Thank you, Shir-El too 23:31, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm so glad people like you patrol for vandalism. I'm no programmer... but COPY and PASTE have helped me endlessly get around my own ignorance!!! Shir-El too 00:09, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Tony Award article assessment
You're doing a great job with these articles, and all the ones you do have all the facts in them needed to make them at least start class. But until there are more sources and narrative descriptions and analysis of the year's awards, perhaps discussing notable firsts and statistics, and also discussing the broadcast itself, including the performances at the ceremony, it would be hard to consider them B-class. Just to save time, I'd suggest you go ahead and note them as "start" class when you finish each one, and then we can upgrade them if they get more analytical/narrative content in the future. Re: Spam by 68.175.106.228
Noticed that you made a valiant attempt to get rid of some of the spam from this IP, but just wanted to let you know that an admin or someone with rollback can get rid of all of the edits rather easily. I left a message over at Happy-Melon's talkpage and he took care of all of the spam. — MusicMaker5376 17:35, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Rollback
I've granted Rollback to help in your anti-vandalism work. Please let me know if there are any problems, and remember to use it responsibly! See WP:ROLLBACK and feel free to contact me if you have any problems. Cheers. Kbthompson (talk) 18:28, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Jean, this means that now you can just click on the rollback button that you will see next to diffs and users' contribution pages. That way, if a vandal makes a lot of bad changes, you will be able to revert them quickly and easily. All the best, -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:47, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Right. That prompted me to ask Kb to give Jean the Rollback tool. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:26, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Wow! I'm honored and pleased. Thanks to all. JeanColumbia (talk) 13:51, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Silly voice parts, again; OR, "Stop the Madness"
Ado Annie is certainly a mezzo-soprano (not a soprano), but the voice part listing is silly in musicals like Oklahoma!. The Stage Agent website is not authoritative at all on this point. I suggest removing the voice part indicators. Then you can turn the "Voice Part" table into a table with the names of the principal roles foillowed by names of notable people who played them in the various productions. We have such a table in a couple of articles, but I am hopeless at tables, so I leave it to you if you want to do it. Otherwise, it could just be an orignal cast section. -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:12, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- In the discussion that was had, I think it's fair to say that a consensus was reached not to add voice parts. Putting them in Hairspray is even worse! Have a fun vacation. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 21:34, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
LOL!
I see that you are enjoying your Wikibreak.... On Wikipedia! ;-) -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:25, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
South Pacific
Welcome back! Can you confirm yesterday's changes to the song list at South Pacific? I hope you had a nice break. BTW, my Wikipedia recording is up for featured status. Check this out: Wikipedia:Featured_sound_candidates/Image:Little_Maid_of_Arcadee.ogg :) -- Ssilvers (talk) 04:29, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yup, "bargain counter baritone", as Peter Schikele says. I had to sing it to a pre-recorded MIDI file accompaniment, so I have no control over how fast each phrase goes, but I was reasonably satisfied with the recording, and we wanted to put a copyright-free recording into Thespis (opera), so this was the easiest way to do it. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 13:12, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Chenoweth
She's getting close to B-class, but there is still too much unreferenced info. Perhaps the refs are in the links at the bottom, but I don't have time to go thru them now. If the links are just to fan sites that don't give us any more info, they should be deleted. Also, there is too much emphasis on upcoming projects and on things that never happened because of conflicts. I don't think it's very encyclopedic to talk about upcoming stuff. I'd wait until it happens and then describe it, along with citations to independent reviews. Anyhow, the article is much better due to today's work, especially your new references. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:05, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Faster than a speeding Jean!
I got up the first review of Gypsy. Muahahahahaha! Brantley seemed to be on Cloud 9. I gotta get a ticket. Everybody in the cast is out now having their piece of the review framed, and Laurents can die happy. -- Ssilvers (talk) 05:14, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Annie list of roles
I suggest putting the character names back in with original *principal* cast next to them, leaving out the copyrighted info, but perhaps including factual info like, an eleven-year-old, redheaded orphan; or a kindly billionaire. -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:16, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Musings--Not sure a character list is needed, there are only a few principals, & they are so simply drawn, I would prefer the descriptions written into the the synopsis in this particular article (not my feeling for other, more complicated, shows); in any event, no time to think more on this, prob. not till April 3 or later. JeanColumbia (talk) 12:22, 29 March 2008 (UTC) Added: re the article Annie JeanColumbia (talk) 12:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
OK. I leave Annie in your hands. It's a hard-knock task. -- Ssilvers (talk) 16:14, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Wow. Annie has a huge amount of (IMO) non-notable info. I did some work on it, but the tour descriptions have lots of non-notable names and non-notable/unreferenced info - is the anecdote about the abandoned black poodle really encyclopedic? See if you agree with my changes and can do anything about the production info. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:05, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
- No time (or inclination) to tackle this right now. (I do think all of this cast info should be somewhere-perhaps in a separate list article, for example something like "Annie Cast Lists". The poodle story does seem unnecessary/irrelevant/does not help to understand anything about this musical in any way/or whatever else I can think of!)JeanColumbia (talk) 17:08, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
You tube links and copywrite
Just letting you know that as the videos themselves are not on wikipedia, they do not violate any copywrite rules for wikipedia. Wikipedia is not responsible for sites that articles are externally linked to. There are many pages that have youtube links on wikipedia and have had them for some time. Also, it is very possible that such videos may be perfectly legally available on you tube as both productions were broadcast nationally on public television and youtube is not making any money off of these videos.Nrswanson (talk) 04:17, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
title of show
Would you kindly check my changes and see if I gummed up the works? I tried to put the article into the usual format. -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:06, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
A Hairspray fun fact list
I remember trying to add a message board that I run to the Hairspray links list a few weeks back, and you removed it. Since then I have created a *closed* topic entitled 'fun facts' which has info not found on the wikipedia page (and probably not anywhere else)... the info on this list has been passed onto the show's producing office to ensure all of it is 100% accurate and it cant be changed or commented on by regular users. This list includes technical specs, plot holes and other tidbits about the stage show. Is there any way that this page can be added as a link without it violating the no forums rule? I think this is the proper way to contact you, if not I am sorry. 24.193.154.242 (talk) 09:15, 5 April 2008 (UTC)christina ((This is a copy of my response, for the record: Re: Your note to me. Thanks for asking. I really can't tell until I see your material. I suggest that you include it in the article, and let's see. I have to remind you though, even if I think your material/link is acceptable, there are many others who watch carefully for violations and for acceptable material, as well as some automated "bots" which may believe that your material violates some policy. Also, be aware that anything that seems like WP:TRIVIA, that appears to be Original Research WP:OR or that lacks notability WP:NOTABILITY will be discouraged and possible removed. You might want to read about Reliable Sources and Verifiability, WP:VERIFY also. Finally, there is a good principle which I've seen quoted, that is: "Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. As explained in the policy introduction, merely being true, or even verifiable, does not automatically make something suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia."
I realize this is a bit long-winded, but there is a lot to think about here. The only other thing you might want to consider is getting in touch with the editors who are on the Musical theatre project here, they may be able to help you more than I can. JeanColumbia (talk) 10:56, 5 April 2008 (UTC)))
- Thank you for your assistance. I did write on the Musical Theatre talk page about a week ago and they said it probably would be best used as a reference page should anyone use it to pull information from it. I never gave you the link, if you havent seen it still, the list can be found at http://com4.runboard.com/besprayed.f2.t151 24.193.154.242 (talk) 04:19, 13 April 2008 (UTC)christina
Awards sections and succession boxes
Jean, please add to the discussion at the WP:MUSICALS talk page about the awards/succession boxes. Since you do much of the award-listing on Wikipedia, I think your input is crucial. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:48, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- It was my fault, I'm very sorry. It was the result of inattention and negligence. Thank you --GökHan 10:17, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Never Forget (Musical) Controversy
An editor who is the associate lighting designer of the show is trying to keep a well-reported controversy from being discussed in the article, and the page has been protected from editing until the edit war is resolved. See this diff. Please contribute to the discussion at Talk:Never Forget (Musical). Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:32, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Glory Days (musical); Bernadette
Glory Days was obviously deleted in error - the article must not have clearly explained that it was about to open on Broadway, and I am guessing (I never saw it) that it didn't have enough info in it. I asked an administrator to re-instate it, so I hope it's back up soon. As for the young Miss Peters (I can't believe she's 60. I must be old), I am happy to help out how/wherever I can. Just call, and I'll be there....

Meredith Willson
Thanks for working on this. It's a bit disorganized and, of course, needs inline referencing. I tried to spruce it up a bit further. Best regards, -- Ssilvers (talk) 23:21, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Hairspray
It looks like a lot of fancruft has crept into the cast info. What are the male and female "Authority Figures"? Are these really principal characters? It looks like people are creating articles for some non-notable actors.... See what you think. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:29, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, trying to remember--Female authority figure is Prudy Pingleton, Gym Teacher, Matron; Male authority figure (this is from the official site) is Harriman F. Spritzer, Principal, Mr. Pinky, Guard. In other words, many small roles, except for Prudy. Don't know if 1 actor plays all 3, but that was the case when I saw it (if memory serves).
