Talk:Jean Ribault
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
When was Jean Ribault born?
Note on my revision. Matanzas means massacres, not slaughters. "Slaughter," while fairly descriptive of what happened is too similar to the German word Schlacht which means "battle." This was not a battle. It was a massacre of unarmed and bound prisoners of war. Even so, whoever did the 1-14-08 update did a good job of filling in a lot of details. I just added more detail. My apologies for changing some of the sentences around. Djmaschek (talk) 05:40, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
