[edit] Two cyclists named Jean Majerus

I looked at the official tour site, [1]. It says that Majerus joined the Tour in 1924 and 1925. Then I looked at these sites, [2] and [3], where all the starting cyclists of the Tour de Frances are collected. They agree that a cyclist named Jean Majerus from Luxembourg joined the 1924 and 1925 Tour de France, although as a tourist. But the Jean Majerus in this article was born in 1914. This would make him 10 and 11 years old while riding the Tour de France. Of course that would explain why he dropped out after/during stage 2 and 1.

But seriously: according to [4] (the luxembourgish wikipedia article), there are two cyclists named Jean Majerus. The one born in 1904 joined the 1924 and 1925 Tour de France. His palmares can be found on this site (Dutch). So although some sources mix the two cyclists up, don't do this here. --Pie.er 19:09, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
