Jeanson network

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Jeanson Network (French: Réseau Jeanson) was a group of French communist militants led by Francis Jeanson who operated as a fifth column helping the Algerian National Liberation Front agents operating in the French metropolitan territory during the Algerian War. They were mainly involved in carrying money and papers for the Algerians and were sometimes called "The suitcases carriers" (Les porteurs de valises). Famous communist anticolonialist activist Henri Curiel, assassinated in 1978, participated in it.
