Jean Venturi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jean Venturi was the representative of Pernod-Ricard in North America in the 1960s, as well as the brother of Dominique Venturi, alias Nick Venturi, a Godfather in Marseille and important figure of the French Connection. Conservative politician Charles Pasqua, who was director of sales of Ricard, has always denied having known Jean Venturi.
A CIA note of 1961 accused Jean Venturi of having distributed heroin in the US for the French Connection. Venturi was not arrested, but firmly asked to leave the US territory in 1967.
