Jean Melzer

Jean Isobelle Melzer (b. February 7, 1926) was an Australian Senator representing the Australian Labor Party and the state of Victoria. She was elected on May 18, 1974 she served two terms, she was defeated at 1980 elections, and her final term ended on June 30, 1981.

She also stood as the lead Victorian senate candidate for the Nuclear Disarmament Party in the 1984 election. She received 7.1% of the vote, but no seat.
