Jean Grossholtz

Thelma Jean Grossholtz, Professor Emeritus of Politics at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, is a feminist activist whose dedication and expertise on social justice issues--poverty, water, food, and the effects of globalization, to name a few--have made her a legend not only on the Mount Holyoke campus, but in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, where she resides[citation needed].

After completing a Bachelor of Arts at Pennsylvania State University in 1956 and a Master of Arts at the University of Denver in 1957, Jean, as she is known, went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1961.
