Jean García is a Filipina television and film actress who hails from Angeles City, Pampanga and her real name is Jessica Anne García. She's the eldest of five (she has two younger brothers from her father's marriage to her mom, and three younger half-brothers from her father's second family). She has appeared in numerous "telenovelas" (soap operas) and movies. She started her acting career at the age of 17 but managed to relatively keep her privacy.Despite making waves in the industry for quite some time, it seems that Jean Garcia never loses her youthful glow. Her most famous role was in the telenovela Pangako sa 'Yo where played antagonist Madam Claudia. She also starred in the first musical fantaserye (fantasy/soap opera) Kampanerang Kuba, and the cooking show Makuha Ka Sa Tikim. She has moved to ABS-CBN's rival network GMA Network; she was a part of the cast of the telefantasya Majika and now in GMA 7's newest telefantasya, Atlantika. She has two kids. There are quite a few actresses, who have once garnered plum leading roles in the '80s and early '90s (when the local movie industry was still robust), that are now usually relegated to supporting roles as mothers, aunts and villains, their names are usually preceded by terms such as "veteran" and "seasoned."

For Jean, who started out in the mid-'80s and has had her share of both career highs and lows, that suits her just fine. As a matter of fact, she's more than grateful for her current position as a "go-to" character actress with supporting but juicy parts in several popular soaps and movies.
