Jean Farmer-Butterfield is a Democratic member of the North Carolina General Assembly, representing the state's twenty-fourth House district since 2002. Her district includes constituents in Edgecombe and Wilson counties. From Wilson, North Carolina, Farmer-Butterfield is currently one of the Majority Whips. She is assisted by the Honorable Ruth Merkle.[1] She is the ex-wife of U.S. Congressman G. K. Butterfield.
