Jean Coussins, Baroness Coussins

Jean Elizabeth Coussins, Baroness Coussins, is an adviser on corporate responsibility and a member of the Better Regulation Commission. Lady Coussins is a member of the Advertising Standards Authority and was until recently the Chief Executive of the Portman Group, a not–for–profit organisation that promotes sensible drinking by the consumer and responsible marketing by the industry.
Her interests include:

- Non Executive Director and Council Member (broadcast and non broadcast media), Advertising Standards Authority
- Member, Alcohol Education and Research Council
In February 2007, it was announced by the House of Lords Appointments Commission that she would be made a life peer and would sit as a Crossbencher, and her peerage was gazetted as Baroness Coussins, of Whitehall Park in the London Borough of Islington, on 23 March 2007.
