Jean-Joseph Casot

Jean-Joseph Casot (Jean-Jacques Casot), 4 October 1728 – 16 March 1800, was a Jesuit came from France to Canada in 1757 as a lay brother.
Casot served the Jesuits in a variety of lay positions including bursar of the Jesuit college in Quebec until Bishop Briand ordained him as a priest in 1766. He spent the rest of his life as bursar of the college in Quebec and was also confessor to the nuns of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec for a number of years.
