Jean-François Jacques (born April 29, 1985 in Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada) is a professional ice hockey left wing who currently plays for the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. His NHL rights are controlled by the Edmonton Oilers.
Jacques was drafted in the 2nd round (68th overall) by the Oilers in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to his professional career, he played for four seasons with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the QMJHL. He made his professional debut with the Edmonton Road Runners of the AHL in 2004–05, appearing in 6 games as a late-season call-up.
Following Oilers training camp for the 2005–06 season, Jacques was assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL where he played the first half of the season. He was recalled to the Oilers to replace injured forward Ethan Moreau, making his NHL debut on February 2, 2006 versus the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Jacques wears jersey number 22 for the Oilers. As of January 2008, Jacques had yet to register a point in NHL play.
