Jean-Baptiste Bagaza

Jean-Baptiste Bagaza (born 1946) was chairman of the Supreme Revolutionary Council in Burundi until November 10, 1976, and president of Burundi from November 2, 1976 to September 3, 1987.
Since 1994, he has led the Party for National Recovery (PARENA). He is presently a Senator for life as a former head of state.[1][2]
