Jean-Étienne Despréaux

Jean-Étienne Despréaux (August 31, 1748March 26, 1820) was a French ballet dancer, choreographer, composer, singer and playwright.

He was an author of several opera parodies, appreciated by king Louis XV of France

He retired in 1781 with pension of 1,000 livres. In 1789 he married Marie-Madeleine Guimard, a French ballerina.
