- ...(less stable on soft ground, lower capacity, etc.) likewise with broad gauge. Oops...Broader gauges would be even more stable than standard gauge! That is apparently why 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) was choosen for the Bay Area Rapid Transit#System details. Peter Horn 00:26, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
