[edit] Categories
I see what you were trying to do. But working with Categories can be confusing - I always have to look at an example myself before a category to a category page.
Anyway, what you wanted to do was add the category "Ethnic groups in Canada" to the category "Bulgarian Canadians". You did it the other way around - which seems like the sensible way to do it, I know. It's one of the non-obvious things on Wikipedia. Herostratus 02:23, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Charlize Theron. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. --Yamla 16:40, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Rogerthat Talk 06:00, 25 April 2006 (UTC) (Also take a look at List of VFL/AFL players by ethnicity and List of overseas-born AFL players.
[edit] Japaneses categories
Please stop creating categories with "Japaneses" in the title as that is incorrect English. To use two examples I've run across, instead of "Category:Nigerian Japaneses" and "Category:Korean Japaneses," the categories should have been named "Category:Nigerian Japanese" and "Category:Korean Japanese." --日本穣 Nihonjoe 00:14, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Citing sources
Hi. I noticed you have been placing figures for population estimates into several articles, such as Irish people. Is there a reliable source for these numbers, or are you just guessing? Please read about verifiability and citing sources if you haven't already. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 00:43, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Creating and adding categories...
Before creating new categories, make sure they are written correctly. Also, just because a person "lived" (or lives) in a certain country, it doesn't automatically make them of that nationality, make sure they're at least citizens of that nation before categorizing them by ethnicity. --- Lancini87 02:24, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] changing category links
What purpose are trying to achieve by the category changes you are making? You are removing category links that are necessary to keep all people of a certain ethnic descent together in a category. You are changing category links from categories that do exist to categories that do not exist. Why? Thanks Hmains 18:23, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Correction: I now see what you are doing; mostly good (I do the same kind of work, so, of course, it must be good). I will make a few edits of my own, however, to correct some items. Thanks Hmains 18:35, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Anglo-Argentines
I note that you are changing this category to another. This in itself may not be a bad thing, although 'Anglo-Argentines' is a widely used term in both countries. But the way you are making this change is the wrong way. If you dislike a name, you should use the Categories for deletion, renaming and merging process, so that others can express their opinion. We'll also be left with an empty redundant category (that some of us prefer) hanging about in duplication, unless you've done something I haven't noticed.
I'd also suggest you read the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Argentina-related regional notice board. Labelling people by origin is controversial and should really done only when it is a notable fact about an individual. I am not clear how someone can be both 'English-Argentine' and 'Argentine-British' - either they moved in one direction or the other. Santa Montefiore and her sister are, I would say, Arg-Brit as they were born in the UK of Argentine descent.
Happy editing, Martín (saying/doing) 08:29, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Philippine people by ethnic or national origin
You may want to look at what one editor has done to all these categories and see my comments in the Categories for Deletion talk page and the Villiage Pump page. Thanks Hmains 04:34, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Argentines by national/ethnic origin
Please could you give references for your changes to Mario Das Neves and Daniel Burman regarding their national origin and how it is a notable feature of their biography. Thanks, Martín (saying/doing) 08:47, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] No content in Category:Ukrainian-Panamanians
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Ukrainian-Panamanians, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Ukrainian-Panamanians has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Ukrainian-Panamanians, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Embajada_en_Moscú,_Rusia.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Embajada_en_Moscú,_Rusia.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:14, 15 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECU≈talk 15:14, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
