[edit] Suggested alternate bottom lines

Note that the userbox takes two arguments, the first is a placement (left or right - center doesn't seem to work too well), the second is a bottom line. In other words {{User:Jc37/Userboxes/NYB4Arbcom|right|There can be no more qualified cantidate}} gives

Newyorkbrad
for ArbCom.

There can be no more qualified cantidate!

I personally think the default bottom line "An excellent choice!" is rather weak. Fortunately, Jc37 is asking for suggestions for bottom lines. Here are a few:

  • "The best possible candidate!"
  • "From a controversy of voices, one rings out."
  • "The best of the brightest."
  • "Unanimously acclaimed, by the left and the right."

and, of course

  • "Anyone opposing will be blocked as a blatant vandal."

But that last one may be just assumed. :-) --AnonEMouse (squeak) 15:00, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

As I've said elsewhere, I'm shying away from words like "best", and "no one better". While I think NYB is awesome, the ArbCom election isn't about only selecting one person, but several. So why should we slight anyone else whom we may also be selecting?
That said, I welcome the suggestions : ) - jc37 20:43, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
