[edit] Edits to IFAW
Hello, I noticed that you recently increased the ammount of info on the IFAW. However, the article reads a bit like an advertisement, something that Wikipedia is not the place for. Since you seem to know a lot of the subject, it might be nice if you could try to rewrite the article a bit, but so that it complies with the guidelines?

In reply to your message on my talkpage: I'm hardly an expert on writing good articles, but a good way to start might be reading parts of the NPOV policy. Also, it is generally discouraged for people who are (part of) the subject of an article to edit said article, since we are all humans and we have a tendency to look upon ourselfs favorably. However I can fully understand that your organisation wanted to improve the article (it was a tad small before your edits). Read some of the featured articles that the community has produced. It might give you a sense of the best style of writing. In general, don't use any positive or negative words when describing a subject (this is what I noticed first in the IFAW article). Saying "organisation X does good work" breaches NPOV. Describing the actual things they do is fine, but avoid giving value judgements (somebody else may think that saving animals is just wasting money that could be spent on saving humans for example).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:1 th btwa.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:1 th btwa.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
[edit] Image:1_th_btwa.jpg
I have tagged Image:1_th_btwa.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. The Sunshine Man 09:55, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
