Jonathan Beutler is a graduate student of public policy at UCLA, and currently lives in Los Angeles. He was a student of linguistics at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is a native of Salt Lake City. He served as the managing editor of the BYU Prelaw Review. He has worked and studied in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, in addition to the United States. In addition to his extensive work in the fields of linguistics and language policy, Jonathan writes and speaks on social policy, religious understanding, Mormon theology, education policy, and, world peace.

Jonathan is dedicated to international affairs, having created the Wikipedia entries Los Angeles Consular Corps and List of Los Angeles consulates.

Mr. Beutler was born downtown Salt Lake City. He was raised on the West Si-iiiide of the Salt Lake Valley in the 1980s and 1990s. Being reared by a public school teacher mother, he learned the importance of education early in life. He was also actively involved in Boy Scouts, having earned the Eagle Scout honor. In addition to his suburban Utah upbringing, Jonathan spent part of his high school experience in Madrid, Spain.

Jonathan is married to the bigshot corporate attorney, Sunny. They were wed in 2006 in Laie, Hawaii.

Jonathan worked as Political Analyst at the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, DC. In Washington, Jonathan also worked for Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, current Senate Majority Leader. Jonathan has been involved in politics, mainly at the local level in the state of Utah. Jonathan has worked for the campaigns of Christian Burridge, Frank Pignanelli, Nancy Woodside, Bill Orton, and others. Jonathan co-organized numerous anti-war manifestations in 2002 and 2003, aimed at preventing the Bush administration's attack in Iraq.
