There are a number of companies that can supply data from the DVLA, they are listed on this page http://www.transportoffice.gov.uk/crt/otherbusinesses/saleofdata/vehiclecheckcompaniessaleofanonymiseddata.htm.

I contacted some of them by Email, and got the following replies:

The current DVLA database allows us to identify 473.

There are 477 Triumph TR5 cars registered as on the road in the UK and
another 23 registered as SORN.

I attribute the slight difference in number to be due to them not having the same database. It is my understanding that the DVLA supplies a copy of the data rather than providing direct access to their database.
