[edit] 1930 FIFA World Cup

I've added a fair use rationale for the poster image, though as I don't do that sort of thing very often I don't know how much detail is required. Oldelpaso 21:26, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Morganstate.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Morganstate.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. fuzzy510 03:05, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] July 2007 GAC backlog elimination drive

A new elimination drive of the backlog at Wikipedia:Good article candidates will take place from the month of July through August 12, 2007. There are currently about 130 articles that need to be reviewed right now. If you are interested in helping with the drive, then please visit Wikipedia:Good article candidates backlog elimination drive and record the articles that you have reviewed. Awards will be given based on the number of reviews completed. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the drive's talk page. Please help to eradicate the backlog to cut down on the waiting time for articles to be reviewed.

You have received this message either due to your membership with WikiProject: Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. --Nehrams2020 03:45, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] USAF Bases in the UK

I don't know how to edit this template, and I saw that you created it.

You may wish to add the SAC bases from the 1940s and 1950s that I've listed on Strategic Air Command in the United Kingdom

[edit] 2007 Virginia Cavaliers football team

Good job on the article. I see where you posted a link to it on Sabre. You may want to ask there if anyone has taken any photos from games that they would be willing to contribute under the GFDL. Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission gives information on asking for copyright permission, but the short version is that the author needs to explicitly release the image under the GFDL or another acceptable license and whatever email you receive should be forwarded to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. (Simply having permission to use it on Wikipedia or having it licensed for non-commercial use is NOT enough.) --B 12:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

By the way, I have s-protected it due to trolling from TSL that invariably follows any time something is linked to that wasteland. If any good-faith users complain about not being able to get to it, let me know and I'll remove the protection. --B 19:53, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Addition of BCS to NCAATeamSeason template

I couldn't help but notice that you added the BCS ranking to the {{NCAATeamSeason}} template. This was addressed a year ago here and it was decided to leave it out. The reason is, is because the BCS rankings are only out from mid-October until the end of December and then are no longer applicable since there is no final BCS Poll. So, its pointless to have since its only applicable for 2.5 months of an entire article's lifespan. I don't mind it being there, but it just seems pointless since it will be removed from all articles at the conclusion of the season.↔NMajdantalk 20:17, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] edits to CBB Schedule Entry

I noticed you made some changes to the {{CBB Schedule Entry}} template (to fix the "tv" column I think). Currently the template does not draw the game rows correctly if the game was not on TV (unless I am misunderstanding how to use the template since you made the change). Anyway, I reverted your changes, but I still think it the template should be addressed. X96lee15 (talk) 22:20, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Wake-lg.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Wake-lg.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:27, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] UVA Wiki Project

Just wondering, does anyone man this project anymore? There are three articles asking to be reassesed, and work done on quite a few others... Queerbubbles (talk) 14:03, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

I think thats a great idea... and I'll see who I can talk to in my general circle of friends.  ;) Queerbubbles (talk) 12:24, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Count me in, btw. I'm a relatively new editor but have authored a few articles within the scope of the project. What's the best place to start? Tjarrett (talk) 14:08, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi--is the assessment bot still running? The page doesn't seem to be picking up some recent assessments that I've done. Tjarrett (talk) 15:56, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Maryland-easternshore.gif

Thank you for uploading Image:Maryland-easternshore.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:13, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
