The {{Jazz-music-project}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project.

[edit] Optional parameters

While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has optional ones that add extra features to the banner. These parameters can be:

|album=  
|song=
}}

• album – use "|album=yes" only for articles about albums (otherwise omit the parameter), this will add the article to Category:WikiProject Jazz album articles.
• song – use "|song=yes" only for articles about songs or compositions (otherwise omit the parameter), this will add the article to Category:WikiProject Jazz composition articles.
