I discovered Wikipedia early in High School. I became instantaneously intrigued by the vast amount of knowledge a community of people can assemble. I am so grateful that such a resource was conceived into existence. My goal is that of which many people share: to add my knowledge, interest, and experience into the pages of our site. I’m not as bold or brave as some; you’ll most likely see me making nothing more than minor edits. But every little bit helps.

[edit] Background

Born the 19th of June, 1987 in Lincoln, Nebraska. At an early age, I suffered a major ear infection that left me far behind my peers in speaking ability, and general communication. My hearing was permanently affected by it. Lincoln, Nebraska is a great place to live, and I am very fortunate to have been raised here. Smaller than a metropolis, yet larger than a small town, Lincoln provided all the amenities of a large city without some of the “problems” that come. I could say I am a Renaissance man. My interests are varied. I’m hopeful I can shed some light on them.

[edit] Music

Music has been a part of my life since early grade school. I’m largely self-taught, and, as a result, often feel awkward when fellow musicians ask me with whom I study. The awkwardness goes away during music competitions, though; I tend to do quite well. You can hear me around town and at private parties playing Jazz Piano. Hopefully, I’ll get back into writing, recording, and producing music (of all genres). More than anything else, I just enjoy playing. My musical theory is vast; I hope to be able to contribute in this area especially.

[edit] Other Activities

Right now, I attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. I’m majoring in Electrical Engineering and your pick of: Mathematics, Journalism, Psychology, Computer Science, English, History, or Physics. Really, I haven’t decided what other major(s) I want to acquire; I just know I want to be a life-long student. I have such a strong desire to learn. I work at the Daily Nebraskan – our college newspaper – as the Presentation Editor. At home, I geek around with computers often enough; I’m a huge proponent of Open source Software.
