The film is (according to Smith) the last of his films to feature Jay and Silent Bob and the only one where they are the main characters. As such, it is fairly indulgent and includes numerous references to Smith's earlier films (including the return of many old characters).

I question the bolded language: They have a large majority of screen time in Dogma. The "indulgent" tag is more a value judgment type thing. Ellsworth 23:33, 1 Sep 2004 (UTC)

I agree the indulgent bit should be removed. However this is the only one of his films where they're the "main" characters, even in Dogma they were playing supporting roles to Bethany. Spookyadler 10:15, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Am I missing something or is my mind just going blank. I've watched this movie a million times (1,000,000) and I'm sure that Alanis Morrisette isn't in it as God, isn't that Dogma you mean? JAStewart 14:43, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

she apears in the very end, closing the big "view askewnivers" book and then dances away, it might be after the credits, it was meant to imply the end of the jay and sielnt bob movies because of mewes's drug problems smith didnt want to continue, but since he has gotten clean since then he decided to continue with clerks 2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.156.147.234 (talk) 03:42, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
