Jayappa Scindia (Sindhia, Shinde) (died 25 July 1755) was a Maratha general. He ruled Gwalior State in northern India from 1745 to 1755, succeeding his father Ranoji Scindia who had founded it.[1][2]
He was killed at Nagaur in Rajasthan,[3] after entanglement in the affairs of Jaipur.[4] The murder is attributed to Vijaysing of Marwad.
He was succeeded by his son Jankoji Scindia, killed at the Third Battle of Panipat in 1761.
