Jayantha Chandrasiri is a Sri Lankan director of theater, teledrama and cinema.
Starting from “Saraswathi” in 1979 Jayantha first became popular as a playwright producing popular theatre productions ‘Ath’, ‘Mora’ and ‘Oththukaraya’. Entering the mini screen Jayantha became a popular teledrama director with ‘Weda Hamine’, ‘Dandubasnamanaya’, ‘Akala Sandaya’ and ‘Rejana’ most of which clinched awards.
Jayantha won an awards for his film ‘Agni Dahaya’ and 'Guerrilla Marketing'. Both films were produced under the Film Development Fund project as part of NFC’s bid to motivate talented filmmakers.
