Jayankondam is a panchayat town in Perambalur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Recently Tamil Nadu government announced Jayankondam is expected to be administered by Ariyalur District which will be bifurcated from Perambalur District.

As of 2001 India census[1], Jayankondam had a population of 31,268. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Jayankondam has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 77%, and female literacy is 62%. In Jayankondam, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age. GangaikondaCholapuram is one of the touristplace. There is the biggest sivan statue . The big Village in Vangudi.
