Jayamala is an actress of Kannada cinema. She is belongs to billava community and her native is Dakshina Kannada district though brought up in chickmagalur district of Karnataka. She was popular in 1970's and 1980's. She paired with almost all top heroes of Kannada movies of that time. She also acted in movies of other languages like Telugu and Tamil. She was in controversy of entering sanctorum of Sabarimala temple.She was producer of national award winning feature film "THAYI SAHEBA ".
