Jermaine Clive Wilson, (born April 13, 1988), better known as Jay Wilson, is a British fashion designer and stylist whose work has been showcased in both the New York and Caribbean fashion weeks.[7] Jay has previously won the Tyler Media Award for young designers. He is stocked in some of the many design stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn including cult boutique Seven New York. Jay's line has been described as chic, classic and simplistic.

Jay is best known for appearing on the Channel 4 and E4 reality show Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack in January 2008.

Wilson grew up in Southwark, London along with his twin brother Jason and Mother Monica.

Wilson started of studying drama and dance as a young boy at the René Haase Theatre School which he attended from the early age of Five, he later pulled out and was placed into a sate primary school, but still continued dancing on the weekends at The Italia Conti Academy. Wilson then went on to Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College. Jay went on to gain a National Diploma in fashion design at London's Westminster Kingsway College located in Kentish Town.

After graduating from Westminster Kingsway College Wilson went on to study at the prestigious Central Saint Martins where he would later be thrown out for lack of work and interest. Wilson was not really a serious student and did not attend classes regularly. Wilson later went on to state in an interview with Dermot O'Leary that "Saint Martin's was not for him, and that at the time his only interests were raving and alcohol"

Wilson comes from Jamaican ,Scottish and Philippines heritage.

He was awarded the title of young designer of the year by American based production company Tyler Media in 2005. Tyler Media is owned by Ex-super model Christie Dinham.

Wilson soon after started his own label under his own name and began his career as a fashion designer.

On 3 January 2008 it was revealed that Wilson would be taking part in Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack[1]. Jay was the fifth housemate to be evicted, and left the house on Day 23 in a double eviction with 30% of the votes.

Jay is currently working on his Spring 09 collection which is being sponsored by the YKK Group. Sketches from the collection where leaked onto his official blog on Wednesday 14th of may 2008, revealing the name of the collection (F//DOT//HILL) and listing three names Miss Foster, Chloe Murphy And Elle Sterling which have been said to be the muses/inspirations for the collection.

Jay recently landed himself a job working with Ex-runway model turned fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons, working on her KLS and Baby Phat lines as a production assistant. Jay is also featured on the new series of Kimora's hit E! entertainment show Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane. it's been quoted that Jay's reaction to being offered the position at KLS was: "Oh my fuck, I'm gonna be working at Baby Phat... Let's call Christian I need a new pair of Louboutins".

Jay also recently began a European and US tour with Dove award winning artist Stacie Orrico and rising star Jayms Madison, under the Creative Jenius management agency.

Jay is currently in the process of planning an indefinite move to New York early next year to further his career within the fashion and music industries.
