From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jay Terrien is a Los Angeles, California based bassist, violist and composer. He writes edgy, textural music that prominently features aggressive bass and drum arrangements which include fretless bass counterpoint passages.

Terrien's music is a blend of alternative rock and pop genre structures strewn together with flamenco bass rhythmic structures, improvisational jazzscape chord textures, fingerpicking, and sometimes, layers of ambient bass looping. His first album features King Crimson drummer Pat Mastelotto
