Jay Harrison

Jay Harrison (born November 3rd, 1982) is a professional ice hockey defenceman for the Toronto Marlies, the AHL affiliate for the NHL team the Toronto Maple Leafs

In the 2005 to 2006 season, Harrison played fifty-seven games for the Toronto Marlies, in which he collected twenty-nine points, coming in the form of nine goals and twenty assists, with one hundred penalty minutes. On January 27, 2006, Harrison was recalled from the Toronto Marlies, and he made his NHL debut the next day in a game against Montreal, in which he registered his first NHL career point, coming in the form of an assist. On February 3 in Washington, Harrison registered a career-high in ice time of 22:27. On February 11, he was re-assigned to the Toronto Marlies, and he played eight games for the Toronto Maple Leafs, collecting one point, in the form of an assist, and two penalty minutes. In the playoffs, Harrison played five games for the Toronto Marlies, in which he collected four points, from one goal and three assists, and eight penalty minutes.

In the 2004 to 2005 season, Harrison played sixty games for St. John's of the American Hockey League, collecting four assists and one hundred and eight penalty minutes. He played in four AHL playoff games, collecting one assist and four penalty minutes.

In the 2003 to 2004 season, Harrison played seventy games for ST. John's, collecting nine points, in the form of four goals and five assists, and one hundred forty-one penalty minutes. He set career highs in goals and penalty minutes during this season, and he played his hundredth career AHL game on November 28, 2003 at Cleveland.
