Jawid Sharif (Persian: جاويد شريف) (born Ahmad Jawid Sharif => أحمد جاويد شريف) is a singer of Persian and Pashtun background from Afghanistan. He now resides in Bonn, Germany, continuing singing in exile. He has released six albums (as of 2007, his fourth album containing two disks) that have gained popularity as well as critical acclaim. He is fluent in Persian, along with German, has sufficient Pashto- and Englishknowlwdge.
In March 2007, Jawid Sharif made a trip to Afghanistan for a series of performances on the occasion of Nouroz.
