Javin Hunter (born May 9, 1980 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American football wide receiver with Team Michigan of the All American Football League (AAFL).

Hunter attended high school at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills, Michigan where he was also a 3-time All-state basketball player teaming with current Houston Rocket Shane Battier for 3 straight state basketball championships. He then attended the University of Notre Dame, where he was the college's leading receiver in 2001.[1] Hunter's father is James Hunter, a former defensive back for the Detroit Lions from 1976-1982.[2]

Though drafted by the Baltimore Ravens, Hunter only played for a short time, playing in 12 games(3 starts) and picking up 35 yards on 5 receptions in 2002. Hunter ruptured his achilles in 2003 and was placed on injured reserve. In September 2005, Hunter was waived with injury by the Ravens.[3] Most recently, Hunter was listed on the San Francisco 49ers roster, but was waived by the club in 2005.[4] Hunter was recently selected in the AAFL supplemental draft by Team Michigan [3].

Hunter has a son, Jaden, with former Notre Dame and WNBA point guard Niele Ivey.
