Javier Morales (born January 10, 1980 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football (soccer) midfielder, who currently plays for Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer.
Morales played for a number of clubs in the Primera Division Argentina, including Lanús, Arsenal de Sarandí and Newell's Old Boys. He made his first division debut with Lanús on February 11, 2000 in a 4-2 victory over Belgrano. He also played for Instituto in the Argentine 2nd division and in Spain's Second Division LIGA BBVA for UD Vecindario. He was an integral part of the Spanish side as he tallied five goals in twenty three matches.
He was acquired by Real Salt Lake at the same time as fellow Argentines Matias Mantilla and Fabian Espindola.
