Javier Hernández Balcazar (born on June 1, 1988 in Guadalajara, Jalisco) also known as Chicharito, is a Mexican footballer, currently playing with Chivas de Guadalajara as a Forward. He has been rising through the ranks of Chivas' youth teams. Javier still plays for Chivas' Primera División A, Tapatío, whenever he's not capped for the games in Primera División. El Chicharito, as he is known to his team mates, has scored three goals for Tapatío. He Began playing with Chivas' lower division team Chivas Coras in Tepic, Nayarit in the 2005-2006 season. He debuted for Guadalajara in the Apertura 2006 in a win over Necaxa, scoring the fourth goal against Necaxa, in Estadio Jalisco. He is a great prospect in Chivas' future. He is one of the 21 players to be called up to the Mexican National Team for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup being held in Canada. He wears the number 11 shirt. Upon playing his first game against the Football National Team of Gambia he scored a goal by making the goalkeeper come out and play the ball around him and easily pushing the ball into the back of the net. Mexico won 3 to 0.
