Javier Garrido Behobide (born 15 March 1985 in Irun,Spain) is a Spanish football player who currently plays for Manchester City of the English Premier League. He is a left back characterised by his constant overlapping runs.[1]
On August 2, 2007, it was announced that he had signed for Manchester City from Real Sociedad for £1.5m (€2.2 million).[2] He signed a 4 year contract keeping him at the club until 2011. [3][4] He made his debut on the 11th August against West Ham Utd. Born in the Basque region of Spain, Garrido is the first Basque player to play for Manchester City.
