Javier Rodríguez Venta commonly known as Javi Venta (born 13 December 1975 in Oviedo) is an Asturian footballer who currently plays as a defender for Villarreal CF and the Spain national football team.
Known as one of the most consistent right backs in La Liga, Venta was named by Spain manager Luis Aragonés in his provisional 27-man squad for the 2006 World Cup. Venta has been at Villarreal since the summer of 2002, when he joined the club after a year-long loan spell at CD Tenerife.
