Francisco Javier Ruiz Bonilla, known simply as Javi Ruiz (born 15 March 1980 in Almería, Andalusia) is a Spanish footballer currently playing for RCD Espanyol.
Javi Ruiz played for modest teams throughout the majority of his career, with a stint in FC Barcelona second team. In January 2008, he was bought by Espanyol from AD Adra, as first-choice goalkeeper Carlos Kameni was away on international duty and backup Iñaki Lafuente injured.[1]
