JavaFX Mobile is a Java operating system for mobile devices initially developed by SavaJe Technologies and purchased[1] by Sun Microsystems in April 2007. It is part of the JavaFX family of products. The JavaFX Mobile operating system provides a platform for PDAs, smartphones and feature phones. It features a Java SE and Java ME implementation running on top of a Linux kernel.
It is understood that Sun will distribute JavaFX Mobile as a binary operating system to device manufacturers who will brand the interface to differentiate their product.
